Through educational initiatives, we meticulously uncover the troubling disparities that persist, unveiling the disproportionate burden of pollution, hazardous waste, and environmental degradation that plagues our community.
Our Mission
Building genuine relationships with local leaders, activists, and residents is at the heart of We Matter's approach. They immerse themselves in the fabric of Prichard, attending community meetings, events, and gatherings, lending an empathetic ear to the concerns and priorities that resonate within the community. Our Mission
The mission of We Matter Community Association is to achieve environmental health and justice by preventing and reducing pollution and building green, healthy and sustainable communities and environments; while preserving and enhancing the quality of life and sense of community in Prichard, Alabama. We Matter Community Association desires to promote discussion, education, and understanding of ways to maximize the health of individuals and our communities; through effective and efficient management of the Association, transparency, reasonable and consistent enforcement of the rules and covenants to preserve property values, and ongoing support for initiatives and capital improvements that benefit the greater good of Prichard, Alabama residents.
Our Vision
We Matter Community Association envisions a sustainable premier coastal community where all residents thrive and work together to cultivate and preserve the beauty, safety, and value of our properties and neighborhoods, while protecting the natural environment on which our communities depend We Matter Community Association advances equitable environmental solutions, where it’s held as a basic human right to breathe clean air and drink clean water in the environment where we live, work, go to school, play, and pray—regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, culture, aptitude, nationality, or income.
